Saving Video Footage to CD or USB Memory Stick
Connecting Remotely to your Tsunami DVR System
Viewing Video Footage
1) Click on the Search button located at the bottom of the screen.
2) Select the required date for the video footage to be viewed. This can be achieved by using the following controls
a) Select the required year by clicking on the year located at the bottom left hand side of the screen, and by clicking on the Left or Right arrows to change the value.
b) Select the required month by clicking on the month located at the bottom left hand side of the screen, and by clicking on the Left or Right arrows to change the value.
c) Select the required day of the month by clicking on the day value located at the bottom left hand side of the screen.
3) Select the desired time for the footage, by sliding the thin blue bar left or right to the desired time (Located at the bottom middle of the screen).
NOTE : The Red Bar indicates video footage is available for the time indicated.
The Yellow Bar indicates motion has been detected for the time indicated.
4) Once the desired Date and Time has been selected, press the following buttons to navigate the video footage. (Bottom Right hand side of the screen)
a) Move Backwards 10 Seconds - This will rewind the video footage backwards exactly 10 seconds from the current position.
b) Previous Frame - This will rewind the video footage backwards by 1 single recorded frame from the current position.
c) Next Frame - This will forward the video footage by 1 single recorded frame from the current position.
d) Move Forwards 10 Seconds - This will forward the video footage exactly 10 seconds from the current position.
e) Move Backwards 1 Minute - This will rewind the video footage backwards exactly 60 seconds from the current position.
f) Stop - This will cease playing the video footage at the current position.
g) Play - This will begin playing the video footage from the current position, at the normal speed.
h) Move Forwards 1 Minute - This will forward the video footage exactly 60 seconds from the current position.
i) X - Return to Main - Click to return to the main menu.

Saving Video Footage to CD or USB Memory Stick
1) Select the start position of the Video Footage you wish to Save using the
Viewing Video Footage Function
2) Once the Start Position has been selected, press the Backup Button, which is located on the right hand side of the screen (Second button down).
3) The Backup Screen will now appear.
4) Click on the Add Button located on the right hand side of the screen. (This will add video footage to be saved)
5) Click on the upper SET Button To Set the from (Start) time for the video footage to be saved
6) Using the
Search Video Footage screen Select the end position of the Video Footage you wish to Save
7) Click on the lower Set Button on the Backup Screen to Set the to (End) time for the video footage to be saved
8) Select the required cameras by ticking the camera numbers, located at the bottom of the screen.
9) Click the OK Button to continue
10) The Backup Screen will re-appear, detailing the amount of space required for the saved video footage, as well as the start and end time for the selected footage.
11) At this time, you should insert a blank CD, DVD, or USB Drive in to the DVR System.
12) Click the Forward button to continue.
13) Choose the Backup Device you wish to use (Eg. USB Drive, CD Rom, DVD Ram)
14) Click the Forward button to continue.
15) Your Selected Video Footage will now be backed up to the selected medium.

Connecting Remotely to your Tsunami DVR System
This document describes how to install and configure the Tsunami DVR Remote Client Viewer.
Before you start, you will require your ADSL Router to be configured so as it will forward IP traffic with port 8081 to the Tsunami DVR System.
This document assumes that the above step has been completed.
STEP 1 - Installing the Remote Client
The Tsunami Remote Viewing software can be downloaded from the following URL
DVR Client for Windows v2.3.45
Once downloaded, simply execute the installation executable, and the DVR Remote client will be installed to your PC.
STEP 2 - Configuring the Remote Client
Once installed, the DVR Remote Client can be executed by either double clicking on the DVR Network Client Icon on the desktop,
Or By Navigating to START -> Programs -> DVR -> DVR Network Client.
When opened, the software will prompt you for a user name and password.
The default user name is admin, and the default password is admin.
Once these details have been entered, click on the Login Button to continue.
Next, click on File, in the Menu Bar, and Select Server List from the menu items.
This will open the DVR Server Configuration Box, as shown below.

The following values are required in order for you to connect to your Tsunami DVR System.
1) Name : This value is used as a label for the DVR Server. It can be any value you wish. For this example, we will use Tsunami DVR.
2) Host ID : This value is a shortened version of the name. For this example we will use Tsunami DVR.
3) IP Address : This is the IP Address of the DVR System.
For LAN Use : If you are going to use the remote view client on your Local Area Network (LAN), then this IP address is displayed
On the Tsunami DVR's bottom left hand side, of the main screen, and will look something like http://192.168.1.1
The Numbers indicated are the IP Address of the Tsunami DVR System on your Local Area Network.
For Internet Use : You will need to configure your router to forward ports 8081 to your Tsunami DVRs Lan IP Address.
Once this has been configured, you can then obtain the IP Address of your ADSL connection by visiting
www.whatismyip.com
Use the IP address obtained above, or use the Fully Qualified Domain Name for the IP Address Value.
4) Port : This is normally 8081, unless changed by the system installer, or Tsunami DVR Server Configuration.
5) User : This is the User name you use to log in to your Tsunami DVR System. The default User is admin.
6) Password : This is the password you use to logi n to your Tsunami DVR System. The default Password is admin.
7) Check the Use UDP Transmission if possible checkbox. This allows more efficient streaming of the Video Data.
8) Next, Click on the Add Button, to add this DVR Server to the list of servers you can connect to.
9) Finally, Click on the Connect Button.
10) The DVR Network Client Software will now attempt to connect to the Tsunami DVR System Configured in the Server List.
Troubleshooting
Clicking on the LOG Tab at the bottom of the screen, will display all the information related to the connection, or attempted connection, to your Tsunami DVR System.
